Nature Parks

Can't wait to get in touch with nature? To take in the pure, natural surroundings? Then it's time to explore the nature parks in Val di Sole and Val Rendena: the Stelvio National Park, the Adamello Brenta Geopark, and the Alto Noce River Park.
Biodiversity and history are the key features of these protected nature areas where you can admire spectacular peaks and crystal-clear lakes, listen to the thunderous sound of a waterfall, learn about the secret life of plants and herbs, and if you're lucky, you may even encounter a wild animal.
Discover the many visitors' centers, visit the wildlife areas and you can also take part in educational and recreational activities that are organized in these special parks.

Adamello Brenta Geopark

An extraordinary mosaic of biodiversity with the breathtaking peaks of the Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, towering above you. Right here, in the heart of the Adamello Brenta Geopark you can admire these magnificent rocky towers that turn deep red at sunset, discover enchanting mountain lakes or immerse yourself in the wild, natural surroundings. The Park was established in 1967, extending into the western part of Trentino including the Adamello and Brenta mountain groups.

Stelvio National Park

It's one of the oldest and most extensive natural parks in Italy. Since 1935, the year in which it was established, the Stelvio National Park protects the marvelous features of the alpine valleys, as well as the plants and animals that are within a vast protected nature area surrounded by the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano and the Lombardy region.
Towering mountains, lush coniferous forests, crystal-clear lakes and streams, and pure white perennial snow cover are what characterize the enchanting landscape of the Stelvio National Park, that in Trentino is located in Val di Rabbi and Val di Peio.

Alto Noce River Park

The Alto Noce River Park was established in 2015 by Val di Sole's municipal councils to preserve and to focus on just how important the Noce River and its tributaries, the Vermigliana, Rabbies and Meledrio, are for the entire area.
The River Park, which naturally and ecologically connects the Stelvio National Park to the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, protects highly important nature sites like the European Union Natura 2000 nature protection areas, peat bogs, alder woods, wetlands, fields, pastures and cultivated areas.
