A challenging hike leading to the beautiful Laghi del Malghet di Mezzana and the Peace Cross, with spectacular views across the entire Val di Sole.
This demanding hike begins along a forest road before continuing on a comfortable mule track to the first of the two Laghi del Malghet di Mezzana. After crossing dense forests of Swiss stone pine and larch, followed by a partially equipped rocky ridge, you reach the summit of Monte Gardene, where breathtaking views open out across the whole valley.
Alternatively, from Marilleva 1400 you can take the Panciana gondola lift to Malga Panciana and follow SAT trail 201 to Rifugio Orti. Continue along the trail until it joins SAT trail 202, which leads to the lakes and finally to the Cross. Return is via the same route.
