This is the place if you want to admire the Brenta Group in all its splendour from north to south: in winter on skis, or in summer sitting on the banks of the little lake, which reflects the rock walls of the Campiglio Dolomites. You can easily get to the Rifugio Viviani Pradalago with the ski lifts of the Pradalago ski area, while in the summer season the refuge is also the start of more challenging walks in the Presanella Group: to Cima Zeledria, Tre Laghi (Three Lakes), Lago Scuro and the Cinque Laghi (Five Lakes).
Open
From 20 June to 20 September
From early December to early April
Before leaving for your hike, always contact the manager to verify the actual opening of the mountain hut
Walks
From the refuge you can climb the ridge of Cima Zeledria, 2,427 metres, along the Bozzetto Path, which has a few sections of via ferrata (1 hour, easy via ferrata). The path then continues on the western side and descends into the basin of the Tre Laghi (1 hour, difficulty E). From there you can continue to Lago Alto then walk down into the basin of Lago delle Malghette, where you’ll find the refuge of the same name (1 hour, difficulty E), or you can go past Lago Scuro and take the beautiful mountainside path that makes a circular route back to the refuge. You can also walk from the Rifugio Viviani Pradalago to the Rifugio Lago Nambino (1 ½ hours, difficulty E).
