Peio is a valley rich with traditions in the heart of the largest Italian National Park. With 13 Km of beautiful slopes from 1400 to 2400 meters, Peio is for those who love nature, want to avoid congestion, enjoy thermal baths, and take advantage of plenty of opportunities for entertainment and relaxation.
Only a few kilometers away, the impressive ski areas of Marilleva, Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio, summing up to a total of 120 Km of beautiful slopes between the Brenta Dolomites and the Ortles Cevedale group.
Peio accommodations are situated at 1400 meters in a valley at the base of the Alpine mountain group Ortles Cevedale with peaks all above 3000 meters, and some reaching nearly to 4000. Pejo is the oldest tourist resort in Val di Sole, famous since 1650 for its thermal water, oilminerals and ferruginous. The villages are rich with history and traditions. The surrounding environment, enveloped by the National Park Stelvio, provides for peaceful explorations. The villages (18 hotels in addition to residences, timeshare apartments and camping) are ideally situated in a beautiful alpine valley. The connection between the various villages and the lifts is facilitated by a shuttle bus between Cogolo – Peio Terme that runs every half hour and the ski buses run by individual hotels. The connection to the other locations in Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta area, is guaranteed by the free bus service NeveBus.
Peio is known since 1650 for its thermal waters and today offers a modern spa for beauty and wellness which is open also during the winter season. In Pejo you can find many opportunities of fun and entertainment well organized by the Promotur association : cinema, ice-skating, social life (the gluwein rituals, torchlight skiing, evening shows, local legends and stories to remember...), easy walks and excursions (a trip into cultures and nature with more than 10 km of prepaired paths), traditions and habits (the milk, the woods, ancient crafts ...) and the Stelvio National Park (fauna watching, videos about mountain's nature, ...). Adventure's lovers can climb the famous ice cascades or explore the largest Italian National Park with snowshoes or get through ski-alpinism in the Ortles Cevdal group.
